We now bring more excellent news from other junior teams, congratulations to the U14s players & coaches on reaching the County Final.

Our u7s, u8s and u9s were all at festivals today. I was in attendance with our U7s at Creighton their first festival and all played really well. Positive reports in from our U8s at Carlisle & all playing really well. u9s at Whitehaven, again only positive reports and brilliant to hear they only let in 1 or 2 trys in, well done 9s. Well done lads and lasses ????? Coach Clopper

Cockermouth RUFC are in a County Cup final ???
The u14s hosted Kendal today for the first of the semi finals. Straight from the off we unleashed our strong runners that Kendal simply couldn't deal with, scoring three tries in first the 10 minutes. We then allowed Kendal too much possession and time in our half. The got themselves a try from a charge down going into half time 20 - 7.
The second half was much the same as we dominated and we tried players in different positions. Aspects the coaching team were most impressed with was the use of the 'pop up' to keep the ball moving and at pace and our scrum was very strong today (a first for us!)
Defensively we were excellent, keeping the tackling low and hard much improved from the 1st round.
Some stand out performances:
Jamie Graham defensively throughout, Harry Corrin and Harry Johnston our centres running was excellent with their fast feet and Bailey Lyttleton clearing up when needed at Fullback.
However MOM performance from Kane Bailey playing number 8, strong running from his own half that Kendal couldn't cope with scoring a hatrick. Other scoreres were:

Dayton Hewitt x1
Kane Bailey x3
Harry Corrin x1
Freddie Fee x1
Harry Johnston x1

Robson Campbell x4 conversions

Well done to Fletcher Clegg making his Wasps debut ? ?

Kirby Lonsdale play Penrith next week in the other semi to determine who we play.

Well done Cockermouth u14s, fantastic achievement 43 - 7 winners ?

Myself, Dickie and Paul very proud of the team
